Of course, you could find it on TVP Kultura, who is one of the media patrons of the event, but it will be far easier and more enjoyable to get to EC1 Łódź – City of Culture on Sunday, September 4th 2016, at 8:30pm and let yourself be entertained during a three-hour session of the best film productions.

"Animator on Tour" is a selected set of nine films (including one feature film) recognised as the best productions from the 9th International Animated Film Festival "Animator" in Poznań (July 2016). Each festival presents around 300 films from all over the world, so there is something for everyone. The audience saw such works as: "Before Love" by Igor Kowaljew (Russia 2015, Grand Prix of the festival, Golden Pegasus), "Erlkönig" by Georges Schwizgebel (Switzerland 2015 – best music film award) and the hilarious "Nuts!" by Penny Lane (USA 2016, special award for best feature film).

There will also be a special touch from Łódź in the form of the animated film "Kinki" by Izumi Yoshida. Izumi Yoshida was born in Łódź and passed her final exams at the 8th Adam Asnyk High School, then studied in the Film Editing and TV Production Department of the Leon Schiller National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź. Due to the fact that she has decided to undertake PhD studies we will surely hear more about her, especially because her dark film won the Wojciech Juszczak Special Award for particular aesthetic value (granted by the artistic director of "Animator", Marcin Giżycki).

The films will be screened on the square within the EC1 complex, the same that featured screening under the "Polówka" holiday event. In case of adverse weather, the event will be transferred to the Machine Hall, the most impressive space of the EC1 East building.
