Representatives of local authorities – the Mayor of Łódź, Hanna Zdanowska, and the Marshall of Łódzkie Voivodeship, Witold Stępień – as well as representatives of numerous cultural institutions from both the city and the region were present during the event. The cultural institutions of Łódź will spend over PLN 65 million (about €14.8m) from European Funds.

EC1 Łódź – City of Culture, on the basis of the signed agreement, will receive PLN 18.3 million (about €4.2m) from the European Funds to implement the "Arrangement, exposition, as well as the fixtures and fittings of the Centre for Science and Technology in Łódź". The total cost will be far greater, i.e. PLN 45.5 million (about €10.4m).

The Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Music Academy in Łódź will receive PLN 14 million (€3.3m) for the purchase of instruments; the Museum of Arts will receive PLN 12.2 million (€2.8m) to revitalise the infrastructure of its main office at ul. Gdańska 43, and PLN 6.5 million (€1.5m) to convert the studio warehouse; the Stanisław Moniuszko Associated Music Schools will allocate PLN 14 million (€3.3m) from the EU programme to the extension of its main office at 20 Rolna Street.

Vice Director of EC1 and head of the National Centre for Film Culture, Rafał Syska, represented EC1 Łódź – City of Culture during the act of signing the agreement. In acknowledgement, he underlined the meaning of the EU funds in establishing modern multimedia exhibitions and emphasised that he is counting on good cooperation for the new investment projects.

The last part of the meeting featured a discussion with all participants of the event. Initially, people asked questions, and then informal conversations with Minister Gliński, Mayor Zdanowska and Marshall Stępień began.
